The UNC Charlotte ADVANCE Faculty Affairs and Diversity Office is co-hosting a conference, “Bridging the Gap Between Academic and Entrepreneurial Capital: Strategies for Success for Women and Under-Represented Minorities.”

The goal of the conference is to educate female and minority faculty and students and interested community members about how they can translate their intellectual capital into entrepreneurial capital in innovative ways.

The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.  Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Feminism Across the Generations: A Community Conversation

The Women’s Summit at UNC Charlotte presents an evening of lively discussion as local feminists from across the generations consider, “What is feminism today?”  Hosted by feminist activist Jennifer Baumgardner, guests will explore the uniting themes and issues of debate within the vast scope of the feminist movement.  Enjoy the unique viewpoints of senior activists, entrepreneurs, national organizers and teen advocates as they define, “What is feminism to you – then, now and in the future?”

The 2012 Women's Summit will be on Friday, April 13, in the Student Union Ballroom, with registration opening at 7:30 AM  Former White House Press Secretary, Dee Dee Myers will be the keynote speaker.
